My name is Ken Evans and I am an experienced professional driving instructor in Ross on Wye, providing driver training in Herefordshire and beyond. I trained with one of the major national driving schools and I qualified in early 1990 as a Department of Transport (as it was then) - Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). All ADIs should be committed to undertaking ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to stay on top of new developments in driver education. I will teach you to drive in the same way that I drive myself, as I enjoy driving and want others to enjoy it just as much. It is now many years since I passed my own driving test in 1980 (yes I am that old!) and my first advanced driving test in 1989. I have maintained my own driving since, and in recent years have proved my driving standard by passing the DIAmond Advanced Test in 2006 and the DIAmond Special Test in 2007. Taking regular tests helps me to understand the nerves that can affect my trainees. In addition, I spend a minimum of 1 day every fortnight on other CPD - either reading, driving or in researching driver training, or instructor practices. I also deliver driving instructor training in Gloucestershire and I'm currently studying for the Driving Instructors Association's (DIA) Diploma in Driving Instruction.
